Hum... didn't see Jeff lately ... any updates on equipments?
I AM ALIVE!! Like Lynn said I was at the PGA Show and now I am playing in the PGA Stroke Play championship in Port St. Lucie, FL. I will be home soon and be able to contribute a bit more. Thanks for caring.
Everyone be pulling for the golfgnome today. He currently sits alone in 4th place after the third round of the PGA of America's Winter Stroke Play Championship, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He fired the low round of the day yesterday, a nifty little 68 in windy conditions. Low for the day by two I might add. Let's hope he can make up the three shot deficit today and bring home the bacon.
Just got off the phone with Jeff. He's on the road back to Atlanta after shooting an even-par 72 today and finishing solo 3rd (288 ) at the PGA Winter Stroke Play Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie Florida. Here are the final results: http://pgatournaments.com/gui/pga354...ultsRound4.pdf
This was truly a wonderful tournament for Jeff. A starting field of 240 was cut to the low 70 and ties for the final two days. Conditions were difficult: very windy with gusts of 30 mph+ and with, as Jeff put it, "brick-hard greens." As a result, there were only two players under par for the tournament and only one at even par (our hero!). Putting it into perspective, this year's winning score of 284 was 12 shots higher than last year's...on the same golf course!
