But because the shaft that the connects the clubhead is connected to the heel of the clubhead, the face is unable to bring the toe around and square completely before impact (unless the flw is broken). So even thought the angled hinge is closed past the point of impact, at impact it is slightly open. For this reason, we must close the face at address slightly to compensate and give the clubface more time to close.
