Tip from Tony

I've tried using my aiming point to direct my hands a few inches behind the ball but I still strike the ball crisp. I also tried the dollar-bill drill but that does not seem to help either. Don't get me wrong, I love the crisp clean ball contact but I need to be able to play out of green side bunkers too.

I have a "tip" for you on this one given to me by a helluva bunker player Tony Johnstone. He advised me not to grip down the shaft too much. Some times people grip down so much that there low point is actually above the sand or at least not deep enough...hence ball first contact!
