Isn't the Impact Plane Line slightly above the ground since the Clubface rarely contacts the ball right at the bottom? The lower the loft of the club at Impact, the more 'above ground' or towards the equater the Impact Plane Line becomes. |
Facts & Illusions

"...inscribed on a horizontal surface -- that is, ON THE GROUND. This is an optical illusion that, when understood and utilized, offers tremendous advantages because it furnishes very apparent equivalents to an invisible basic." -- Homer Kelley (2-N-0) So, Leo, just swing toward the ground. You'll be all right! |

It seems that you are doing at least three things here, to HIT the BALL STRAIGHT with the CLUB, with the ball flight ("Ball Flight Intention" I call it) as your primary concern, besides moving the club ("Club Intention") and your hands ("Hands Intention"). You may have three options here, too. If BFI works the best for you, then adjust it to "slightly to the right of the target" or "hit it slightly to the right with the club". If BI/II (Ball Intention/Impact Intention) works the best for you, then you "hit the inside after quad. (instead of the back) of the ball with the club". If you would like to work on CI or HI, then "trace the plane line" or others as mentioned in other posts. |

What relationship are we talking here? On-Plane? Could you distinguish the two (body vs. Plane Line)? Thanks! B |
Thank you all
Yoda,
Thank you very much for you clarification. It changed the way that I conceptualize the swing. In addition, I appreciate the replies of all of you who added your thoughts. teach |
