Plane Board

Drewitgolf,

I used 1 inch steel tubing. I use treated plywood. I paint it with a heavy duty primer and cover it with indoor/outdoor carpet from Home Depot.

My first version on the same frame was plexi glass. It didn't last long though the first high wind blew it over and it shattered.

This is a plane board type device where you can hit balls. I have got one and it is very good.

hue,

I got the impression it might make a lot of noise & annoy other golfers on the range. What is your experience?

Probably because you use a browser that does not recognize html archives in mht format. Either download the target & open with IE or see the pic by clicking below.

I have one too. Noise is not a problem

Answering ?s from onlookers is :)

I had a guy sit right behind me the other day and he just watched then asked ?s

Ball flight was fantastic

I hit a pretty good ball usually but when I use dual track it goes up at least 2 notches

U have to translate the ease of using dual track into a feeling for you though so u can translate dual track use into your own swing

For me at least an on plane takeaway is nothing like what I thought it was

with dual track u know yr if yr on plane or not during takeaway

Noise is not a problem at all. It draws a lot of attention as cjgolf points out. Other people stop hitting balls and come and watch and ask questions and want to have a go. I could see this was vexing the golf pro so I did not bring it to the range a second time as I do not want to be banned. I could see the pro feared the device and he felt threatened by it.

Ok. So it does not "slam". Great. Just got from gtacorp that the weight is about 6 lbs which would be 2.72 kg. I am surprised its that lightweight.

Hue

can they actually ban u just cos u use a training aid ?

I doubt it but I understand yr sentiments

its a fact though that I have had pros show me what the takeaway should be but u cant be sure yr doing it right without something like dual track or lasers

i prefer dual track to lasers

Not to defend the reaction of that pro; but for the sake of peace it might be a good idea to start off by showing & discussion more unusual training gear to the pro first. Doing that might help triggering quite the opposite reaction.

Just a thought.
