Ok lets all jump on Styles all at once and get this party (hooly) started.

Here's what Ive got: your executing overtaking with a bending left wrist as opposed to a flat rolling left wrist. In essence, though your impact alignments are better than scratch Im wondering about your Finish Swivel. Trade your chicken wing high left elbow and bending left wrist for a flat rolling back onto the plane left wrist. In other words, the Left Arm Flying Wedge needs to get reassembled. The right side version of this, if you prefer, would be that the bent right wrist , once flattened needs to re bend. You have horizontal wrist motion post impact. It might be just a left elbow problem. The Indian Chief's "how" like elbow position applies to the right arm on the backswing and the left arm on the throughswing. With one end of the club pointing at the line at all times. Maybe put a flash light upside down in your left hand and practice rolling it onto plane with the light pointing down the line. You'll see your left elbow trailing instead of leading your hands.

Perhaps you were doing something special here though, executing a shot of some kind, a hold off maybe?

But your impact alignments are crazy good. Oh and there is no freaking way Im ever posting my swing here, not with you lot. Too many arm chair critics like me around here.

First things first, kudos to Daryl. He spotted straight away that although I thought I was a hitter, in actual fact I was better off swinging.

Alex Sarry spotted it after playing 18 holes with me.

The following morning we had an hour and a half at the range working on keeping my left arm glued to my chest and a dead hands almost arched wrist position at impact.

The day after the range through 10 holes I was 4 under par! I dropped a couple of shots over the last 8 but still finished 1 under.

OB had asked me to post some video of what I was working on. The following clips were taken over the weekend Alex came to N Ireland. The driver was taken on the Friday before our range session. The two irons were taken on Monday after a lot of talk and a lot of work.

If admin want to move this to emergency rooms for swingers thats quite ok with me!

Can you explain what you mean by arched wrist, like Vijay Singh? What does that accomplish, and what do you do to get into that position?

GPStyles 11-11-2009 06:02 PM

To be honest GMB I couldn't explain.

I am a player not a teacher and as I'm sure Daryl will attest, I hate the detail!

I just do what I'm told to do and if it causes a better shot then I stick with it.

I cant download them for some reason. Ill keep trying.

GPStyles 11-12-2009 11:31 AM

I might have them on youtube OB.

If I do I'll post links.

They are viewed using quicktime so if you haven't got that downloaded (its a free download) then that might explain it.

Nice stuff Styles. Just 'cause you're swinging now doesnt mean you cant do a little hitting now and then. And like Ted says "the right arm plays a big part in Swinging too. If it wasnt so you could just let it drop off the club with no adverse result." Or something like anyways.

Man, Royal Belfast looks great. The golf in your corner of the world is so fantastic. Do you make it down to Royal County Down often? That place has some serious soul.

RCD is probably my favourite golf course ever.

A lot of guys don't like it because there are a few blind tee shots.

Haven't played it since late last year. I'm overdue a game there!

If you check out some of my other Youtube clips you'll see one called "The Master at Work".

Its absolutely hilarious, you can see the characteristic 'hairy' finish that almost all of the bunkers at RCD have.

My friends attempt at playing from this has predictable but hilarious consequenes:laughing9
