brian so you beleive if you choose to have low hands that it is CRAP

brianmanzella 08-18-2005 08:35 AM

No no no.....

NOTHING wrong with low hands...

...for SOME golfers.

But absoultely, low hands are not ideal for everyone.

What would be nice to see is a row just below each line with the golfer in the down stroke at the position. A comparison between the back and down stroke as well as a comparison to each other's down stroke.

Nice series of pics...Definitely not a mirror image of each other..

Pavin (is that Pavin? with the visor.) looks awesome in that pic...one of the best planes.

Clampett looks awkward there man....holy- that's kind of extreme...actually I guess it's close to Bobby Jones...prolly just looks worse cause he's more bent over than BJ.

And...whos the guy beside Tiger?

Ian Clark 08-18-2005 03:13 PM

Mark O'Meara.

Guy with the visor is CHIII, no?

Abudoggie 08-19-2005 10:46 PM

Yeah...his shadow is too tall for it to be Pavin

Harrington?

Clampett

This must have been when Bobby Clampett was using a Snap Load. I saw him at the U.S. Open on T.V. a few years ago, and recently on an infomercial for a golf club... and he was more Random.

His right arm is still straight in the picture. Is that how most of you would be if you use Snap?

annikan skywalker 08-20-2005 02:09 PM

Clampett...Jones...Snead...O'Grady...Waite

Woods...O'Meara...Howell III...Faldo...Hoch...

I took the footage of Waite and Howell at the 1999 Michelob Championship at Kingsmill...My former partner in crime "Scooter" took the footage of O'Meara, Faldo, and Hoch at The 1999 USOPEN at Pinehurst No.2 when I was working with Clearwater...

The whole purpose of this layout is to demonstrate the different plane angle variations with the corresponding hand paths and the relationship of the left arm to the baseline...

I would strongly recommend studying the different amounts of shoulder trun, hip turn, leg action, etc...it will reveal may different relationships for strokes made from different backstroke plane angles...perhaps study the "MorePics"....

I have plenty of more "stuff" to share...

I'm using pictures rather than words because I feel they speak volumes more than the mere description of words...

But words with Pictues...

Powerful....

Do what the words and the pictures mean...

Now we're talking another level....

Your learning will get exciting....

Skywalker

PS. I have video footage of Bobby using Snap, Random and Full Sweep at different points of his career...

He is truly....a walking experiment!!!

Great Guy too!!!

Plane= In Front or Not as much in Front

The guys in the bottom row keep the club, arms, and hands more in the so called FRONT of the body on the Backswing, and also try to do this on the Downswing. They are probably using 10-6-D..."undoubtedly the most widely used Basic Plane Angle"... Turning Shoulder. Look at 10-6-D #2.
Do you think they are using the A or B versions?
Howell may actually use a variation of the 10-7-E.

The guys on the Top row appear to be more on a 10-6-E Hands Plane. They get the arms, club and hands deeper BEHIND them on the backswing. After the Backstroke 9-2-5#2 stage is reached, They then go into one of the Shifts 10-7-O.

Great Guy too!!!

My guess is that's why he crapped out on the PGA Tour...

annikan skywalker 08-23-2005 02:06 PM

Maybe....Maybe....No...

He experienced personal tragedy in his personal life...

You never know how one will react to a loss!!!

Do you think Knee Action is a factor in how much the arms move behind you? If the left knee and left hip move OUT early, do the arms tend to move IN early? What do you think?

EdZ 08-23-2005 06:04 PM

Sounds like a balance issue to me.

annikan skywalker 08-23-2005 08:34 PM

Lagster...the answer is ...YES....

The human machine must ADJUST to accomodate for the change in the Hand Path...Thus the Plane Angle....

who says....Try reading the "neural Basis of Motor Control by Dr. Vernon Brooks...

It is a tough read , but it is a valid backup doccument to support this post!!!!
