TGM 3-D impact bag

Does any of you have any experiences with the 3-D impact bag?

I'm going to get an impact bag and this one seems to have more functions than the "normal" ones. Is it worth the extra $$?

When i briefly watched their video I thought that some of the "functions" for their 3D impact bag looked very artificial... even pointless...desperate... scraping bottom of barrel ....

Brian Manzella has used one like this for years. Works as a plane instructor as well.

yes

Admittedly some of the functions seems far-fetched ie. the in-to-out-out-to-in path.
But a function like that you can actully hit balls with an impact-hands and impact-shaft-alignment aiming "point" seems as a smart addition to the normal use of an impact bag.

I use one and it works well for the intended applications.

GPStyles 12-01-2008 01:12 PM

its very expensive:(

Yoda, do you have a preferred impact bag or will anything do?

I use the standard form of Impact Bag. Also, an old cart tire.

For those interested, I did an Internet search and came up with a few links. Caveat: I am not endorsing these products or their providers.

Izzo has a good product:

Callaway has introduced a square-sided version:

Gary Wiren's product is widely used and still available:

At some point, LBG will have its own branded product for use in our schools and for sale in the Pro Shop.

That would be the 12 piece bag, and after working on it for a while it'll have red impact indicators:golfing_banana:

Very funny guys!

I don't see enough difference in the Izzo bag and the TGM bag to warrant spending an extra $100+!

At the minute I use an old medicine ball that is covered in suede! It has no give at all though.

Can I ask whether LB Golf advocates hitting the bag with or without a ball. I watched Chuck Evans' clip on you tube and he advocates hitting ball then bag.

From what I have seen of Lynn working with the Impact Bag its always been without a ball (I do the same too especially when indoors)

I like to think of it as a simple 2 piece saddlebag. It allows you to work onboth in inside/out path and an outside/in path. And if you get flippy, you wind up with a buried lie.
