Flat Plane @ the Top, good, bad, ugly? Tiger, Hogan, Sergio...

Hogan, Sergio, Jay Haas, and now Tiger are "flatter" than many at the top, with there left arm perpendicular to their shoulders (or even flatter), and right arm parallel with the angle of their spine and right elbow down.

What are the implications for that top position for hitters? Is this a good or bad position for a hitter to be in?

If its advisiable to get to this position, how is it best achieved?

Thanks.

I believe it's more suitable for shoulder-turnning swingers. The celing fan shares the same feature, in which the blades are perpendicular to the axis.

Elbow plane, I think, is more suitable for hitters, who tend to pick it up and push it down with the right arm,
