Wedges & the Short Game

There is a wedge series that has moved the hosel/shaft back relative to the clubface ...is there any advantage to this arrangement or does this mean that the hands need to be more forward relative to the clubface at impact to compensate.

Is that the one that is supposed to be s....k proof?
If so,I picked one up in a store...and immediately put it back. I would suggest that the sweetspot is much harder to get on plane. Anyway -it LOOKS horrible!
