UPP in snow-dusted Ohio

As the story goes - In 2004 Trig and I had been shooting PM's to Lynn for a few months on the original TGM site. Trig went out to see Lynn for a lesson in Nov. 2004 and mentioned that "Yoda" needed his own website. Lynn jumped at the suggestion. Since Trig worked for HP at the time, Lynn asked if he could do it. Trig came back to me and said "guess what, we are going to set up Lynn's website". :eyes:

Trig and I are business guys and knew zip about websites but hey, websites can't be THAT hard...right? So we dove in with Trig doing the main site and I took on creating the forum. In Jan. 2005 we were "live" on the net. The first post was made Jan. 13 and we unveiled the site in early February. Then the work of doing videos and adding content began. Once again, had no idea how to do it.

You really can teach old dogs new tricks.

In the mean time, a guy with a bigger propeller hat than us offered his assistance with the site. Bambam joined the team in mid-05 and took on the look and feel project, giving the site a more commercial appeal.

We've had a few ups and downs with the site and learned a bunch along the way. Hard to believe that was 3 years ago. Time flys when you are having fun.

Why do we do it?
Because the golfing public needs to hear and learn from Lynn.

How are we reimbursed?
Knowing Lynn personally and seeing others benefit from this site.

Would we do it again?
In a heartbeat

LBG has grown to a point where its nearly time to turn this site over to a professional team and plans are in the works. The core materials will remain but the site will probably take on a new look later next year. Stay tuned.

It is my experience that "Professional teams"don't always have your interests at heart when creating /managing websites.I hope you guys will keep them under control!
