Length of Backswing
In a standard hitting procedure how long should the backswing be? I feel as if mine is very short (arms maybe at 10 o clock) but any longer and I lose control
Is there an optimum to maximise float loading? What length do other hitters have? |

“Top is the hands at shoulder height and on plane” It is ok to be short of top as well. |

http://www.lynnblakegolf.com/gallery...ry.php?cat=531 It is the Barclay preview teaser and at 50 secs in Rob Noel shows a student where top is. Lots of other good stuff on the clip too. Float Loading can be done by both Hitters and Swingers but better for a Swinger because A- more time to load on the down stroke and B- instant acceleration from the startdown (from his 'End') creates a better float load. Hitters are better off drive loading behind the shaft and mashing the clubhead thru the ball into low point- the whole reason for the "top' position, direct straight line drive. But as Homer said- 'Can be done, but nothing but difficult execution." |
Bambam just posted this morning pictures of three hitters at their top positions...see the latest post in this thread below. Thanks Ben for doing that for me:)

Backstroke End
Think about ending the backstroke when the right hip is fully turned/cleared per 12-3-0-24....page 225 of the 7th edition. It's a precision move...:golf:
