Joe Gransden
Jazz Sounds.
Click here: http://www.joegransden.com/live/ , come back in the original window as you listen, then enjoy the rest of this post: :) Jazz great Joe Gransden was recently featured in a 9-page spread in Lakelife, the major magazine published in the Lake Oconee (GA) area. http://kjcom.net/?p=187 [None of the many published photos are in the link.] I had to write: Kim Jackson’s feature on the mega-talented trumpeter and singer Joe Gransden (Lakelife Winter 2011) truly captured the spirit of the man and his music. I’ve attended jazz performances and concerts all over the world, and I’ve never heard an artist more expressive and true to his idiom. If you've not already clicked the link above, please do. Otherwise, the link below: http://www.joegransden.com/live/ Let it run while you ramble 'round the Net. You'll be glad you did! |
I'll bet Mr. Grandsen can teach you a thing or two about RHYTHM! :-)

City,
I was just reading one of your earlier threads and Kev was saying something about not being too fast. Listen to this guy's rendition of "Valentine" and practice with it in your head. It is just about the right tempo for doing some nice, easy Basic Motion. Be sure to give just the slightest accelerondo past the ball. |
Thanks for the tunes, Yoda. I'm diggin' the instrumentalists as well.

Three's a Combo

Three instruments. Four, including Joe's voice. And all acoustic. For those who love The Jazz Sound, it just doesn't get any better! 8) |
I listened to the complete thing last night. Very classy and highly polished performances. Now I need to make a couple purchases. Great stuff.
Thanks for sharing with us. Had a lovely time with KevCarter today comparing alignments. |
