I may actually amend my thoughts on this.....in Angle of Approach procedure....I think the geometry may be more about the RIGHT SHOULDER moving OUT along a line paralell to the Angle of Approach...if the focus is too much on the hip slide it could potentially cause the right shoulder to move too vertical (more of a spinning the fly wheel type pivot/shoulder motion) than having the right shoulder travel OUT to the plane line in a LAUNCHING PAD type pivot....
I think the Hitter generally will get his axis tilt LATER than the swinger...very much dependent on the chain of events caused by the Stroke Basic...Pitchy vs. Punchy....pitch the elbow and the spine begins to tilt back earlier than if the elbow is punch...with hitting #1 is driving the bus....but you gotta remember that it it is not necesarily driving the HANDS OUT ....more so driving the SWEETSPOT OUT TO THE PLANE LINE....
If the hands are driven out the sweetspot wants to lag behind .....more of a sequenced release move....but if the focus is on driving out the sweetspot to the plane line...the sweetspot will get out earlier due to #2 and #3 going SIMULTANEOUS...sweetspot out earlier...clubface off the face of the plane earlier due to the #2 and #3 GOING AT THE SAME TIME.
