He is just using the Elbow Plane. Who thinks the Elbow Plane is more of a Pivot Controlled Hands procedure? (note I did not say you have to be using pivot controlled hands if you're using the elbow plane). One thing I've always pondered about: if you're really using the Aiming Point properly, which is basically a Hands Controlled Pivot concept, why would you perform a shift on the downstroke? It's not like you're aiming your hands to shift down and then towards the ball. Aiming Point = straight line from the top to the ball. So if you're doing it properly, there shouldn't be a shift on the downstroke.
