I'm amazed I'm not shooting sub par every time considering how good everything looks! Just back from the range and was striping it nicely using Lynn's preferred set up of two dowels to indicate base plane. I was approached during my session by an older guy (76) who wanted to tell me what a beautiful simple swing I had In fact he told me he had a problem with hitting behind the ball. I demonstrated the aiming point principal and the idea of looking at a spot slightly in front of the ball and I started hitting it even better including a 175 yard polie! I have a big final on Sunday morning and I just want to be hitting it good for that. I am giving the opponent two shots and I know if I play well it won't even be a contest. Is there any reason the foward aiming point would have helped or is that just a happy coincidence? Am I to take it that I need to work a little more on getting the RFOP and my right hip slightly turned back at address? Thanks again everyone who has taken the time to read and comment. I have had a personal lesson from Paul Smith aka Golfguru who is largely responsible for getting these alignments in place. His advice for the next step forward in my development is a personal lesson with Yoda. Alas things didn't work out while Lynn was in Scotland but I think it would be wise of me to save the pennies and take the family to the swamp! __________________ The student senses his teacher’s steadfast belief and quiet resolve: “This is doable.
