Ok....so here is something that i used to with a lot of success but didn't exactly what i was doing. However now i know what i was doing but don't know why it was working. So here we go:
I used a right forearm pickup
I setup for angled hinging by keeping the face "looking" at the ball as we say
I took the club to the end and not the top like a hitter
I then used a sequenced release, hip slide, and pivot of a swinger
I executed a horinzontal hinge
----
Played some of my best golf with that. Now the thing that gets me is that i didn't setup for a horizontal hinge by letting it open up in the takeaway.
Also i've noticed that when i do the startup swivel, i can feel that 1/4 of #3pp at the end of my backswing.
HOWEVER, when i do the above i don't feel the 1/4 of #3pp. I have the feel of a hitter where it is behind the shaft.
----
So, what was i doing? Why was it working? Is it "switting?" Am i mixing components?
Thanks

Who are you? ... a youthful Jacque Nicklaus??? Was your shaft steeper in the backstroke due to the flying right elbow(Nice flyin' wedges though)? Was your grip weak single?... Did you have an interlocking grip? Were you in desperate need of a haircut for your blonde hair? How many majors have you won? ...Come on Jacque!!!
Just kidding...but you got the point ...Big Jacque had some hitting components but swung in a more vertical style plane....It can work with a weaker or more neutral grip type...it did for 18 majors....Anyone want to tell Big Jacque he can't play with the shaft vertical and a elbow position of "up and out"....but miraculously did not look like Mrs. Havercamp using "Push" basic as she HIT that "PEACH" into the POND!!!!

Skywalker
I agree with you Skywalker. Personally, I have found it way easier to load like a hitter and then swing rather than vice versa. Not that it cannot be done, it is just more complex.
I think i'm going to go back to that type of stroke for a while before the weather really starts to change and see what the results are.
What i've been doing lately is pretty much swinging on all the longer shots and hitting the shorter ones.
To be honest, i haven't really been keeping track of score because i get out so little my friend and i just goof around on the course a lot. Last time we went out however i do think i was either 1 under or even for the front nine after goofing around and being like 9 over on the back haha. We had a good time though and that is what is important.

Maybe you were more onplane. Maybe your right wrist was bent.
Do you take video?
I know where you are at - working on something - or a few things, and all of a sudden it comes together, then later, your not sure why.
Video might be the best bet - and a journal, to record what you thought you were doing versus what you were actually doing, not to mention what you were working on at the time.
Well i know what i was doing before, after, and now.
What i don't know is what exactly i was doing component wise (before). When what the other person said, it sounds like i was setting up for (loading) for hitting but then i ended up swinging.
So now that i know that, is that a bad thing? Good thing? Pros/Cons?
Thanks
Jim
