True "Throw Out" Action holds the Clubface in Impact Fix alignment (7-10) and automatically produces Angled Hinging (10-10-C).
I am always puzzled when I read this sentence. And I have read it quite often.
I thought that with true Throw-out Action, Centrifugal Force automatically aligns the Clubshaft and Clubface for Horizontal Hinging (as it is explained in the first sentence of that paragraph)? Or does the sentence quoted above refer to Hitting procedures, only?
Agreed, Daryl. The posthumously published 7th edition is wrong.
The 6th edition correctly described the Hitter'sDrive-Out Action and its Angled Hinge Action (Half Roll of the #3 Accumulator). All who own the 7th edition should make the correction.
But don't get "trigger happy" with your marking pen: The first sentence of that second paragraph (6-B-3-0) correctly describes the Swinger'sThrow-Out Action and its Horizontal Hinge Action (Full Roll of the #3 Accumulator).
Drive or throw you are still operating on an inclined plane so the club has to work OUT to the ball .... Therefore it is much to do with wrist action sequenced vs simultaneous and the rate at which and or when #3 goes. Also look at the fail diagram ... The #2 and #3 are represented by a hinge pin and swivel joint..... Those things operate in their prescribed manner regardless of how they are actuated driven or thrown out.....
