The Open doesn't get a Woody.

How many euros do not take their opportunity of playing in the US open? I honestly don't know but i suspect very few...

Why would a competitive beast like a pro sportsman NOT want to compete against the strongest in the game? Even if he wins this wek in the US will he feel like a winner...ask Ben Curtis and Todd Hamilton about guys who made the journey across the atlantic with no hope of winning The Open...

If it is purely about money and looking after his family then that is admirable -his family are lucky - but if you wonder why Europe keep winning the Ryder Cup ... well, treating golf as a business rather than a competition might be a place to start looking for the answer ...

UK golf fans love to see US golfers playing well in the Open - Woody should book a family holiday in UK or Ireland and play some of these courses ...

It would be cool for Brian Gay to come next year - Royal Birkdale - alot of Open courses suit the accurate player rather than the guy who kills it 320 off the tee... Brian could come good with his short game and accuracy!!
