Did any of you see the article in Golf Digest about George Kelnhofer G.S.E.D.?
It is in the technology section. He and others... developed a system called Hot Lines. They have been working on it for years.

Yeah. I went to the website. I kept laughing at the thought of the ball disappearing in the middle of your downswing. Has to be the most infuriating thing if you have trouble getting it right. But it also has to be a great incentive to make the right move, and it seems to me that it would help to ingrain it faster, because you have to discover the feel of the proper move.

Hmmmm, now I have a good idea how Sir Charles developed his downstroke hitch.

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)
It's funny you say that. I actually had visions of someone being on the course, feeling the wrong move, and stopping mid swing out of habit.

The theory is(negative reinforcement)... if one does not perform a particular task correctly, he will not get his reward, the ball in this case. The ball actually drops down in a hole in the mat if you get off plane, or do various things improperly.
Positive reinforcement, would be if you do the task properly, the ball would pop up. In theory, either way can be used to train people.
Would make more money out of the machine putting in a bar and running a book on how many times it takes a punter to make contact

This pro has figured out how to make $$$ teaching golf. During the 90's he would give 12 to 20 1/2 hour lessons per day, and he got more than most for his rate. He had a waiting list. Taught...PIVOT/PLANE/LAG...
I imagine 99% of all golfers having the ball pulled 99% of the time. A huge threat to the driving range market!
