Ted - a question

This is a great video and I have a question about it Kenny Perry's downstroke sequence.

I'm curious how does one execute the downstroke sequence where the lower body moves first while the arms and shoulders do almost nothing initially? This is a great move that all great players seem to make. Kind of like a "sit-down" move. It creates a ton of lag and power.

Ted - I was wondering your thoughts on this? When we worked together we didn't talk about this much. Most of our discussion revolved around driving the right arm off the right shoulder-platform. Normally, I don't really think of a sequence when hitting, I just take it to the Top and then drive hard with the right side.

I try to get as much backswing momentum going as possible, then turn the opposite direction (downswing)....the club lags...

I'm a swinger tho ...

Not sure what to say about hitting....

I know it has to do with "taking up the slack" and delaying the thrust...but that's pretty damn simplified.
