The swing on that clip looks more like "Old Seve"...
when he worked with Mac it looked more centered...
better sequencing....
not as much "slop"...
Mac doesn't put up with "slop" in any of his students swing...
Remember....Mac's attention to detail.....
Not to mention...
Seve jumped from teacher to teacher(Leadbetter included) like a lot of the Tour Boys really like to do!!!!
If there is a "qualified opinion" they'll listen trying to find that "one magic key" that opens the door to the revelation of the "Elusive Perfect Move" ....
I've seen Seve swing better...he doesn't hve enogh flexibility in his Shoulder Joints to do some of the stuff Mac wanted hiom to do...Look at the length of his humerus bones(upper arms)...for crying out loud they're like the wings of a Teredactial.....
I still think his Set-up has always been classic even when he dropped from the "Elbow Plane" address to the one of the MORAD "HandsOnly Plane" address...
I really don't think Mac ruined Seve...
I think Seve... who is very,VERY, superstitious...
SEVE GOT TOO... superstitious about his swing...
Thus the burial of the Old Seve Swing in the Palm Desert....
Mac was just the Funeral Director...Not the "accused".....
It was more like career suicide in my "unqualified opinion"mfor a creative player like himself to seek mechanical perfection....
A virtuoso like Seve already knows how to play the Instrument and the Music perfectly on his own...Even if his "technical exprsesion was not "perfect" his "creative expression" was beautiful.
He didn't need to go to Wolfgang Amadeus for Music lessons...He already knew how to Play and to Win!!!!
He will always be a Great Champion....despite his fall from glory!!!
