Watching the Fish Float By
Well, it's a great day for golf at the Barclays Classic...if you're a fish!

Man, it's comin' down now. We're completing our setup work and watching the hardy souls playing in the Pro-Am trudge by us approaching the 18th green. Actually, 'float' by us might be a better word! But it's supposed to clear out sometime today. After all...

This IS a golf course!

Fun With Friends of LBG At The Barclays Classic
Wow, what a great golf course this is! Hilly, thy name is Westchester! And lots of wet, high rough. Combined with undulating greens that were already quick and were rolled last night, it's no picnic out there for the golfers. But it is for the fans -- especially with the rain holding off -- and that's what counts.

Thus far, I've been able to fill all complimentary ticket requests for our members, and they will be waiting for you at the well-marked 'Will Call' pavillion at the main entrance. Any member who would like to attend this weekend (limit two tickets per member), drop me a PM with the day you want and it will happen!

Enjoy!

Just back from Westchester CC. Great classic old style course. Hilly, narrow and small undulating greens. Lynn and Ted's tent was directly behind and connected to the Barclays hospitality tent. Saw Ted as he was leaving but couldn't get his attention(couldn't scream, we were right next to the 18th green). Was standing not five feet from Yoda on the practice green as he was giving a lesson, but he was so involved in his teaching, he didn't even notice me.

Here's hoping Lynn and Ted were a big hit, and this becomes a yearly deal.

Thanks again for the tickets, Yoda!

You're welcome, BlackJack. Thank you for all your support over the past year or so, including taking care of Ted during his two-day teaching stint in New York prior to the the Barclays. We appreciate so much each member and their words of encouragement as we pursue our mission day-by-day-by-day.

I would loved to have seen you at the clinic. Actually, I gave three today as an adjunct to the primary instruction in our pavilion and taught 43 of Barclays' private clients. The clinics were held on the practice greens of Westchester C.C. not more than 300 yards from the 18th green. As I think about it, you must have been at one of the afternoon sessions, either 2 PM or 4 PM. Had you given me the 'high sign', we could have spent a few minutes together after it was over. There will be another time.

Also, my sincere thanks to our own EdZ, who began the weekend as our tournament guest and wound up assisting me in the clinics on both Saturday and Sunday. We got it done, didn't we, Ed!

We're all home safe and sound now, and I will write more soon about this wonderful week. Meanwhile, it's late, and in the inimitable words of Scarlett O'Hara...

"Tomorrow is another day!"

For those of you who have had the chance to see Lynn and Ted in person, you know just how enthusiastic and inspiring they are with each and every student. This weekend at the Barclays Classic was certainly no exception. In fact, it was beyond amazing to witness their teaching stamina - Ted Fort, Jeff Hull and Lynn Blake - teaching quite literally NON STOP for days on end, without so much as a few minutes break!

The demand was so high the wait list was growing and growing in length.

A BIG thanks to the folks at Barclays, Westchester C.C., and the PGA TOUR for allowing us to extend the teaching to their beautiful practice area just off the 18th. It was a truly unique experience to be able to teach students so close to the 'action' of the tour players. The Academy kicked off with the Wednesday Pro-Am and was then followed with four tournament days -- all jam-packed with Barclays clients and the 'magic' of teaching TGM -- and highlighted by Lynn's five 'You can do it!' clinics on the weekend.

There were so many special moments I will treasure from the experience, but none more rewarding than helping people who had come to the clinic barely able to hit a shot, and who at the close of a clinic were able to demonstrate a tour quality pitch as the crowd cheered.

And to top it all off, during the 4th clinic, I got a call that my new nephew had just been born!

Thank you Lynn. It was an honor to work with you and to be a part of such a special teaching event and I look forward to the future possibilities.
