Regarding the throw out action/feel on the downswing as discussed on the videos, I have seen instructors drilling their students to throw a club towards the target...I was wondering if this is an effective drill...should the drill be down and out where the club would be thrown into the ground or right of target towards first base.
If you buy a book called "Extraordinary Golf" by Fred Shoemaker you´ll find pictures in the book showing the students in a sequence hitting on a golfball and in the next sequence doing this drill. It´s a remarkable difference in Accumulator Lag. I´ve seen the same thing doing this to my students.
You can put any kind of stuffs about on the trailing side , a bag, plastic pipes etc, Just enough about an arm length away from your trailing shoulder.
Then Go to the top of the swing , then swing down.
You must attempt to accelerate the club longitudinally, or you will hit that barrier. And your motion Drop the club to waist height then Turn everything in sequence also.
Be careful dont destroy something you like .. or something thats too hard to destroy your club.
More like a Quick Fix . but that at least will get you to know what longitudinal acceleration and swinging with some lag feels like.
