The Ball
Ive used the impact ball Mark and it gets the thumbs up from me and a number of my students.

Plus points:

You can hit balls with it!.

Sets the wedges and the feel of impact fix.

Useful for learning accumulator 3 roll and hinging.

I find it useful for helping flippers to learn the action of the arms especially right forearm.

Because the focus is in the arms/ball they suddenly get a feeling of the lag in the hands and the pressure points of the hands.

Good for working on swivel.

The colours provide a good visual.

Negatives:

Looks silly on the range especially when it pops out in the followthrough and flies down the range.

Material is not very durable.

The price (£30) for a piece of foam. Wouldnt be too hard to make one out of a block of foam or a slightly deflated football (soccer!).

Still better value and more useful than Lead's inflatable beachball.

The swing plane thing you mention I havent used. Is that the gyroscope device that was featured on the Golf Channel inventors programme? It looked very interesting.

Id also recommend the Rover Golf training aids especially the Pure Swing.
