Viewing golf swings with a Mac
Can anyone tell me how I can view my swings frame-by-frame on a Mac? I just bought my first camcorder, a Panasonic PV-GS80. It connects easily, and I can watch my swings at full speed, but when I click on iMovie, there are only 3 buttons: rewind, play, and view with full screen. No pause button and no frame-by-frame button.

I'd appreciate it if someone could walk me through this step-by-step, as I am a total novice at this.

Any additional tips on the best settings for the camcorder would also be appreciated.

Thank you very much.

If you can get the video into quicktime you can step through and/or play at slower speeds. If there are any teachers on here who use a mac, they may know of a golf swing analysis program like cswing or v1 pro that will run on OSX.

I think on the camera, the main thing to worry about is your shutter speed so you can capture the high speed motion as clearly as possible. The higher you can set it the better, but the higher it is the better lighting you will need. My old camera went up to 8000 and it was pretty clear, but I think as low as 4K will work pretty well.
