Discuss this... At Address the hands are at Mid-body... but at Fix, they are also at mid-body. "They must be appear to be near, or covering, the Left Toe--nowhere near the ball." "That will, except as required in 10-8 and 10-9, change their relationship with the Ball and the Feet but they will still be in mid-body location."

The Downstroke Hip Slide (7-14) positions the 'mid-body' forward of its original Address location. Hence, even though the Hands move further forward (from Address Position / 10-9-A) as the Left Wrist Flattens into its Impact alignment (10-8-A), they remain opposite the 'mid-body'.
However, be aware that with the Rotated Shoulder Turn (10-13-C) or in Zero Pivot (10-12-D) conditions, there is no Hip Slide. Hence, the 'mid-body' will remain in its Address location, and the Hands at Fix and Impact will be forward of this location. Unless, of course, the Body is positioned in its Impact alignment at Address.

I did not know that mid-body part, I always assumed fix moved the hands forward as in forward press. I cannot find that bolded part of the quote under 7-8 in my book, version 6, however. Is it from another section or another version. Thank you.

Most know the easy answers and discussion to your post. "Mid-body" hands may be entirely accurate- and factual. But just to spice it up a little bit- Homer Kelley should have removed that "mid-body" hands section from the book. Why? Isn't really consistent with "his" bigger picture of a hands controlled pivot versus pivot controlled hands. That's one reason why in 3-F-5-C- It's "Hands to Ball" and not "Hands to Body". See 5-0 and 10-24-F last paragraph.
Did you catch that one Bucket- before I mentioned it OR is it like every morning when I need to remind you to brush your teeth, comb your hair and put on your coat before you go out the door!!! (Yes, I have kids!)
