Personally, I don't think he would have delivered that harsh a sentence as a judge. [But, you never know.] Nevertheless, words are weapons that can be used to inflame or diffuse situations. In my opinion, his words inflamed and mine diffused (or at least attempted a realistic perspective).

We have a full complement of word emphasis tools here -- bold,italics and underline. Also, combinations thereof. Plus color. Even bold color. With or without sizing!Except in the most extreme circumstances (usually to satisfy a literary intent), please use them.
These techniques will avoid the simplistic -- and irksome -- ALL CAPS approach.
