There are two different types of work that tour players do to their swings. One is change and the other is just finding / grooving the pattern. Most tour players have a fault or two that the constantly monitor and try to keep under control. Many are hesitant to make large changes because of not knowing that it will work. One way to look at it: it is better to be really good at a average swing than average at a really good swing. I'm not saying that I agree with the dominant thinking on tour. There is a bunch of bandaid junk going on out there. They often have a swing thought that they use with long shots.
