Isn't there a relationship between maintaining extensor action from address to both arms straight and the look of the elbows at the top of the swing.

"Width" and its concept is extensor action through and through. If a swinger comes to me with "slack" at the top of their swing I will introduce extensor action to them by way of a rope and also ask them to hit balls on the range with a ball between their arms.

So in a nutshell, wouldn't it be safe to say a swinger with extensor action from Section 2 through Section 9/10/11 will appear to have the arms close together at the top of the swing.

At the same time, i feel this concept of a hitter attempting to get the elbows closer together (right elbow pointing down) can be devastating to the hitter because of his right arm's role.
