For a multipurpose Vid/SLR the Casio F1 is hard to beat. Down side is its an SLR camera shape and size.

Takes 60FPS with 6mpix clarity in stills, or 30fps over a 2 second burst which can be mint for sequences.

What is super cool is that the Frames Per Second are the actual # of frames recorded as opposed the the shutter speed rating (which can be changed on the F1 to get super clear shots in the sequence. It records in Standard, Full HD, Part HD and High Speed modes. Amazing bang for your buck.

Hook it into a PC and away you go.

Not sure how Full HD feeds into the V1 type systems (mac user here).

For those who do not need to keep tape for ever, a Hard Drive Video camera is quicker to get info into your PC too. A very good point was made about the Pass Though capabilities being a good idea to check for.

3CCDs allow you to use the vid recording modes in lower light as well.
