From an Impact Address (10-9-B) -- Weight left, heels almost touching and Left Wrist Flat (Standard Fix / 10-8-A) -- practice the Basic and Acquired Motion (without Wristcock). Swing the Hands. If the Clown's Nose (my term) moves, the Hands move. The Clubhead always remains behind the Clown's Nose and the Clubshaft always remains parallel to the extended Taly 'shaft'. The Left Wrist remains Flat from Start Up to the end of the Follow-Through (Both Arms Straight position).

Look! LOOK! LOOK!!!

Most of you will set up with your feet too wide apart, your weight equally divided, your left wrist bent (little or no forward shaft lean) and your head too far back. Also, your originating Pivot Motion will be minimal or nonexistent. Therefore, absent a correct Right Arm Thrust (usually the case), your Left Arm will have little help in getting through Impact. Combined with an ingrained 'False Feel Wrist Action' (Flattening Right Wrist producing a Horizontal Motion of the Clubshaft and a total disruption of Rhythm), this assures that your Hands will Quit (3-F-7-B) and the Club will swing from your Wrists. Lots of Fat and Thin shots . . . not good.

As always, a cooperative effort with a competent professional instructor is advised.
