Yoda recently showed me the variations of elbow positions. I'm a hitter so I set up at Impact Address with the right forearm on plane. The elbow should not be pointed inward towards the body at impact address.

At the Top I try to ensure the right forearm is perpidicular to the plane by supporting the shaft at a 90 degree angle as much as possible. Physically, I don't quite get to 90 degrees. In any event, the elbow "is where it is" based on my attempt to obtain that position.

On the downstroke, my elbow returns to my body for the Punch-stroke (10-3-A). At some point I would like to work on the Pitch (10-3-B) and a snap release...but I'm not quite ready for it!
