That condition is all that is required -- indeed, it is mandatory for a precision Hinge Action -- during the Impact Interval (from Impact to the Both Arms Straight position). Any appearance of a Roll through Impact is due solely the Body Turn and the Arm Swing as the Wrist remains in its Vertical Condition. Think of it this way: A door rotates in a circle about its hinges, but it remains vertical (perpendicular) to the floor (its horizontal plane of motion). The photo on the right illustrates the Left Wrist in its Rolled Condition. The arm has not moved and the Wrist has 'twisted' to the left (from its Vertical Condition). This is a Swivel Action, and it is not permissable during Impact. Remember, a hinged door moves in a circle about its hinges...it does not 'twist.' The Hinge Action maintains the Vertical Left Wrist from Impact to Follow-Through (Both Arms Straight). Then the Swivel Action Snap Rolls the Hands into their 'Palms Parallel to the Plane' position for the Finish. In other words, the Finish Swivel becomes The Bridge between the Follow Through and the Finish. The good news here is that, despite your injury, the photos reveal that your range of motion is sufficient to accomplish this task. __________________ Yoda Yoda View Public Profile Send a private message to Yoda Visit Yoda's homepage!
