Will I see any appreciable difference in consistency and distance, between my 10 yr old GBB Callaway Warbird, and a current model driver? I am not talking about the models the pros use, but the game improvement type of drivers such as the GBB II.

Fifty-One bucks to replace the broken shaft on my current driver. Only 120 bucks more than that for a new driver. Television ads promise a lot. From 1993 to 2003, the median Tour driving distance increased by 27 yds. However, I don't know how much the driving distances increased for hackers, or even mid handicappers, if at all. Can't reliably go by self-reported distances from newsgroups, since most of their reported distances would place them in the the top 10 on the PGA TOur.
