Bucket don't get out much . . . but when he does . . .
It gets U-G-L-Y!!!!

After reading the title to this thread I now truly understand . . .

I NEED TO PURCHASE A LIFE!!!!!!

While you dorkballios were doing your thing . . . I was doing my own thang at a wedding for this fat chick that my wife trotted me out to. I was drinkin' barley sodaz, eatin' chickin' and makin' it happen on the dance floor with the Sprinkler, the Lawn Mower, the modified Lawn Mower Chicken, the Q-tip, the Diggin' Taterz, the Weedeater, the Chainsaw, the Mongoloid, Kung-Fu Fightin', the Wheelchair, the Eat Fly Dookie and Pass It, the Po-Go Stick and many more. All you gotta do is play Brick House and I just act a fool. Fat girls know how to eat and party gooooooood!!!!

I even went white water raftin' in the back woods of Tennissippi or some such state . . . . it was a state of genetic experiment gone bad really bad . . . I was just waiting for the banjo music to start up and the squeelin' to begin . . . I do bear slight resemblance to Ned Betty. SUUUUUUUWEEEEEEEE!!!

So now I guess I'm back to my day job of being the biggest nonprofessional internet goober in the whole galaxy . . . sad . . .

But when things get soooo bad that you can't even turn on Springer and feel better about who you are . . . . I just think . . .

"Man I could be like that Mike Oberdorkerwhathisname . . . "

Then it's ALL BETTER.

There are other things we could turn on, like the ability to upload photos, doc attachments and videos to the site.

I would suggest NOT allowing Mike O to have the privileges with regards to uploading . . . from a liability perspective that could get very expensive. Barney.com allowed Mike those very privileges . . . didn't go so well for them.

When Lynn starts getting the general publics attention, I'm calling you in for duty.
We need lots of translators (Babblefish). People that can communicate Alignment Golf into everyday language.
It's coming up fast.

Just my 2 cents.

1- The site needs a beginner section with several "improved' LBG "forum instructors" to field questions and feed instruction anyone new to TGM. Totally STUPID questions should be encouraged. That is the only way people learn. Keep it light. Stress Imperatives and some basic geometry and physics. Let them move to deeper into TGM when they are ready. Some of our posts are spooky to someone just lurking for the first time. We are not here to promote TGM- just Homer, Lynn Blake and his Professional contributors. The home office is not one of them.

2- Rid the site of science debaters. Homer's science required Line of Compression and putting a ball in flight. Posters that only delight in science debates (mostly to diss HK) and never about playing golf should find another forum.

3- Having 4,000 members is great but IMHO most signed-on to download from the Gallery. The TTs, Hogans, Snead, Doyle, and of course, the Yoda clips- all free- is a great thing to have, but those with less than evident appreciation and support for TGM/LBG are just ripping the site off. I'd like to see a new set of Lynn Blake clips go to YouTube as a way to promote what this forum is all about.

4- I haven't posted on other forums, like fgi, or gea in a real long time but recent lurkering shows TGM loathing and contempt is alive and well. I'm the last person to say be civil - as YodaSolo - I got the boot and I do flip out against the intolerant too often but now Stack and Tilt, Hardy and whatever is also being harassed and assailed. Speaks volumes about those sites, I think. Point is, if you do post on them, lets gain respect instead of the way we did it in the past.

Be safe out there.

Your post is more than 2 cents Mike - Feedback is golden.

Hearing we need to set up a "safe" beginners section is important.

The videos are free and they are dynamite. Several have been put up on Youtube already. No doubt that video has been a big draw and right now we don't mind folks ripping them off. It should be easy for viewers to see where the content originated. As we light the next stage, there will be more exclusive content and more "basic" content.

Science talk is good - It's the behavior of a few of the self proclaimed experts that isn't. We can manage that.

As for other forums - What other forums???
I expect we will get diluged with fans of pop instruction. We will need moderators in the beginners section that can not only deal with those perspectives, but can also translate Precision Golf effectively.

Are you up for a growth experience???

Lynn needs to set up a group of authorized LBG online instructors so the right information is presented and accepted. Lynn won't be able to answer posts like the old days- I'm glad I have printed them out from those three old forums- what a book! But without a "golfingrandy" type- a few who can address questions that people trust.

This may be the most important section on the forum. Advanced questions from seasoned students and instructors will put new people off.

I said that anyone who only engages in refuting HK geometry and physics with quantum analysis and devoid of any actual expectations of discussing real time stroke concepts is only hurting the forum when it comes to attracting new members. If they do talk about the golf swing and why Mr. Kelley does this or that- no problem.

This place is scary to most golfers - and we need to be better ambassadors of Homer Kelley and LBG on those other forums.

What good is someone joining for one day and downloading the Hogan, Snead, Lynn Blake or TT videos and never returning? Perhaps a 25 post rule before DLing them -with streaming at anytime. That builds better site traffic.

another nickle. 6b

More help for beginners
Bagger i agree with 6bmike i think more could be done to help beginners. I was thinking along the lines of a beginners guide aimed at people who have come across the forum for the first time and do not have the book. Perhaps in the form of introductionary articles or FAQ's detailing some of the key concepts and language used.

I know when i first came across this forum i was very close to never coming back. Having played and read about golf for many years i was a bit perturbed that i couldn't understand anything people were writing. Only because i was a student and had time to burn did i stick around and investigate further.
