At least in the first post - the scale isn't right. Meaning this - when I printed it and measured how far back 5 inches from low point was - it was an inch. Then on the same print out I measured the ball which was 1/2 inch in diameter - that would make the ball have a 2.5 inch diameter. If the ball in your drawing was porportionally drawn - then it would change some of your conclusions.
Assuming everything was 1/5 scale - then when I extended your circle out - to a half circle and measured the diameter - it was around 7 inches - times 5 would be a swing diameter for the wedge at 35 inches - which I would assume (I don't know) would be a smaller impact radius than an actual wedge shot (of course, that would depend on how much snap release the player was using.
Just some quick thoughts - could be wrong.
I'm drawing everything full scale and then reducing to fit on the screen. I don't know what the reduction is but if you enlarge the drawings until the Ball on the drawing is 1.68" then everything should scale correctly.

Well, they aren't concepts. They're simple drawings that plot the cog orbit of the Clubhead for various clubs in your bag. Are you saying that you can't believe the drawings?

Well, again not being exact or critical.
I might start wth radius from the left shoulder.
The difference is much less- maybe 4-5% on the vertical arc of radius 60-62 inches.
But I don't think hitting the ground will be the big problem with ball back. In reality perhaps, but in theory the problem is the opposite. To contact the ball with the sweet spot with ball back and lots of shaft lean the clubface needs to be higher - further away from the ground - at first contact. And I wouldn't be surprised if this could make a real difference with a 60* wedge in the hands. Particularly one with a low COG and a weak shaft.

There definitely is real world shots hit perfectly where based on the location of the sweetspot on the club and make of the club - you'll hit turf before ball. Although the player would consider it a perfect shot and feel. The ball then turf - for all shots - is a mis-perception.

I've accounted for Angle of Attack, Release Point, Loft and Club Length in the drawings. All Orbits use the Left Shoulder as the Center of the Stroke. Additionally, all include an uncocking Left Wrist. And, to be more precise, but not necessarily closer to reality, the release point is the same as well. One more adjustment I made was to plot all orbits from 90 degrees to the orbit so these drawings are not face-on views except the ball and tee.
Please be as critical as possible. That's why I presented them.

Agree, and I don't see a problem with sometimes hitting the turf first unless it screws the shot.
Thank you very much for the correction. I really screwed up when I rescaled for screen. My Orbits were at 50% when my ball was 100%. This correction looks much better.
