Given the spirit of this post Id also like to make an announcement if I may.
Mike O and Bucket will be competeing for the first Olympic gold medal awarded to a golfer in modern times. Yes, proud members of team Ubekistan.................. well one of the "stans" anyways , negotiations are still under way. Why didnt I think of that angle?
Can you imagine them up against Tiger and Phil for a chance to meet Kim Jong Il in the finals? (Kim Jong plays as a single in team best ball , its hard to improve on a one).
Given the right "Stan" and the excellent Borat as their team, non-playing, Captain those two guys could conquer the world - Goats excepted.
Hi Kevin. Once upon a time I ran a "top 1%" financial planning firm for American Express for 3 years and was later hired by Prudential to manage and plan top financial practices.
If I were starting a new professional firm or service, I would join the following groups as TIME and INTEGRITY allowed. In other words, as you so wonderfully demonstrate, you have to be a friend to have friends.
The groups I would include are all honorable with valuable missions including Rotary, Kiwanis, BBB, Chambers of Commerce, religions you practice and believe in, masonic lodges and school demonstrations/coaching. Ladies golf too, as you know, and If I were in MN, I would go to the bulb and flower festivals, cooking clubs, and travel, investment, swim and chess clubs. Of course, the Boy's clubs/Girl's clubs, Police Athletic Leagues, Scouts, and local offices of the IRS/FBI/ teacher's unions and city governments all have golfers and leagues. First Tee is a great program and a census of retired teachers or retired people in the area will help you meet clients. Nursing homes have golfers, too.
You have my email if you run out of marketing ideas...which reminds me to remind you to consider convention center activities like trade shows...lots to do!
Discounts for referral clients! Military are great people IMHO.
Good Luck!
Patrick
