Simple and easy is often the best. Strangely (?) enough I haven't heard or done the free armswing. This is much better: let the shoulders stay more less where they are and swing the arms all you want. A new and rewarding sensation. But steering must still be avoided! Roll that left wrist

Yes - I know in theory. And it's supposed to work from the ground up in the downswing. But even here I feel the benefit of the free armswing - at least in comparison with what I have been used to doing.
